Stonebridge Acquisition, Inc., Announces Launch of Stonebridge Consulting and Cloudaction
TULSA, Okla., July 2, 2014 – Stonebridge Acquisition, Inc., today announced the formal launch of two new go-to-market brands, Stonebridge Consulting and Cloudaction, the culmination of a market strategy and organizational realignment that began at the beginning of the year.
The two “pure play” brands target distinct, fast-growing markets. Stonebridge Consulting is an oil and gas advisory and technology services firm focused exclusively on upstream, midstream and field services firms in today’s booming energy market in North America. Cloudaction is a cloud solutions consulting firm designed to capitalize on the business community’s growing adoption of the software as a service (SaaS) business model. Both brands are business divisions within Stonebridge Acquisition, Inc.’s corporate structure.
“For some time, our business growth has been concentrated in two distinct areas,” James Ivy, CEO of Stonebridge Acquisition, Inc., said. “Oil and gas historically is our largest client segment, and it has really taken off with the shale oil and gas boom, especially with startup and SMB [small to midsize business] oil and gas firms. SMB is the sweet spot we are targeting with Stonebridge Consulting.
“Additionally, our Stonebridge BSM [i.e., Business Service Management] business unit has been transformed by customer demand for SaaS-based Force.com solutions, such as the Remedyforce Help Desk solution from BMC Software. Our SaaS business has grown by more than 4x in the last 12 months alone,” Ivy said.
As part of the launch of Stonebridge Consulting and Cloudaction, Ivy also formally announced that Adam Hutchinson, an oil and gas industry veteran Ivy brought aboard in early 2013 to help create the SMB oil and gas market strategy, has been named president of Stonebridge Consulting. Samir Kumar, who joined Stonebridge in 2009 and established the Stonebridge BSM business unit, has been named president of Cloudaction. Hutchinson and Kumar report to Ivy.
“By focusing exclusively on specific industry and market segment, the pure-play strategy will enable both brands to better serve their customers and also capture a larger share of their respective markets,” Ivy said. “With the formal launch of Stonebridge Consulting and Cloudaction, we are confident that each brand is optimally positioned to be a market leader.”
